Default Holy Crap! I've made over 3,000 posts!

I suppose it's only to be expected...but I didn't really notice it until just now.

Over the past 487 days, 14 hours, 31 minutes, and 28 seconds since NZB came online, I have poured a damned large portion of my time, not to mention my soul into this place.

In the early days of the kallboards on kallisti.co.nz...a forum I started as an alternative to the moral wasteland that was www.nzdating.com, we were a phpBB forum. We were bitter. We had fun. We decided bitterness was not the Way. We still had fun. I registered nzboards.com and moved everything here.

A brief flutter with Invision Power Board proved uninspiring, so one magical day about a year ago I leased vBulletin for 12 months.

In the beginning, things were, shall we say...changable. There's a quote lying around here from Bluey & Aquila that goes a little like "One week, the whole site changed 3 times!".

I was also very Hack-happy for a while there...installing little things, big things, useless and pointless things...until one day it all kinda got tangled up into a big ball and I had to start again. I lost all of your Points. I gave back a whole heap more than you had to begin with.

The past 3 or 4 months however, have been nice and stable..with only 3 new Default styles. ...but you have to admit, they are pretty cool.

So, we have gone from being a phpBB board "with the ability to post in colour!!!" to a fully-fledged Forum, listed on DMOZ in the Computers|Messageboards category (quite an achievement for such a young board), with a Photo Gallery, Games Arcade, Webmail Service, Blogs and a heap more, including some very entertaining members.

I'd like to thank everyone for their efforts thus far, and in continuing to make NZB THE Fun Online Kiwi Community!
