Firstly I would like to thank everyone for their continued activity and interesting threads. You are all making this a place people want to come back to.
This thread is to let everybody in on what's been happening behind the scenes, to update you on some new features, and to remind everyone of some things they may have forgotten.
1. Behind the Scenes:
Server Move: We have sucessfully completed our move to a shiny new server, one where the loads are usually a tenth of what they used to be.
This was done in order to fix the laggy problems some people were having with the site, and appear to be working wonderfully.
In addition to the server upgrade, I have designed 2 new styles (Grassy Green and Tangerine Orange) that are a lot lighter on graphics than either Gellish or the Pro style are.
Those styles are stil available through the dropdown chooser in the bottom-left of every page, but the Default site style is one of the lighter ones.
2. New Stuff:
- The 'homepage' is now a Welcome message. What used to be the homepage has been renamed to Portal and is linked from the homepage in the Navigation panel
- The Welcome Room is now part of the Lounge, and The Testing Zone is now its own Forum
- Horoscope/Chinese Zodiac/Stone information in profile
- Webpage and Guestbook in profile for supporting members
- Spellcheck for supporting members
- Win points for Arcade top 10 placings
3. Things to remember:
- Uploading photos to the Gallery gives you 200 points per photo
- All members with over 5 posts are eligible for a free NZBmail account
- Posting threads and replies gives you points
- All members receive an NZBlog - a personal Journal
4. Milestone Reached:
