Default Digital cameras - which one is best on a budget of about $500 ?
I am looking at buying a reasonable camera to last me a couple of years but I don't have money to burn.

I was thinking something that was;
- at least 3 mega pixel,
- preferably with a optical zoom,
- a digital zoom,
- the ability to take a series of photos (burst?) so that an action shot of a racing car isn't missed,
- movie capable
- & memory expansions are not cripplingly expensive.

Any suggestions on brands and models?
