I make a surprise visit to
NZB, and no one's home!
Perhaps if I were to drop in at a more socially acceptable time in future . . .
Though I thought that surely our esteemed foreign members would be 'in da house'
Oh. I was just struck by a thought. *rubs head* Said esteemed etc are of course far more frequent visitors to the world of
NZB than I, and would certainly be aware that
NZ closes during the wee small hours. It goes without saying that if my current mental proficiency is any indication, I should likewise be tucked up in my cosy bed, sleeping the sleep of the (mostly) innocent. God, I'm an idiot.
Now I have to wait until morning to read the numerous posts agreeing wholeheartedly with my self-deprecating statement.
So, before my fingers commit mutiny en masse, and claw weakly at my eyes with their blunt, well-chewed nails, in a vain effort to persuade me that I am pursuing a course of the utmost folly . . . I shall bid you all good morning, and I await a response of some description with anticipation and not a little trepidation.
As an aside, has anybody else noticed the deplorable lack of people who chortle these days? I see plenty of giggling and, indeed, full on laughing, but the honest chortle does appear to be a dying emotional display.
