Default re: Waitangi Day - Celebration or Reason to Protest

Waitangi day is a day to celebrate, its a shame that a few use it as a reason to protest. Protesters always get the most television coverage, so you don't get to see allot of people around the country celebrating.

I don't blame Helen for laying low at Waitangi, I wouldn't think any less of her if she were to choose not to go and to be present else where in the country. The way she and other people are treated there is disgusting and shouldn't happen.

I don't think the protesters are likely to get anywhere with the personal attacks they lay on the politicians, they would be better to go about getting what they want through they courts etc if they are entitled to it.

My grandpop does Waitangi tribunal claims research and investigations for a tribe in the top of the south island. They are achiveing what they need to without the need to protest or make a big fuss.
