Default Christmas Mince Pies...
I love them, but I don't like the shop brought ones...

after many a year of putting up with shop brought ones being too lazy to make my own, I put some thought into what I didn't like about them... it was the pastry,

my solution? To buy the christmas mince mix from the supermarket and make my own pastry. An old Idea I know BUT it sorted me out.

I make Alison Holsts Short Crust pastry and I add a wee bit more alcohol and things to the shop brought mix, its easy and gives it that home made flavour.
