Default Iconz Query for all of you Kiwis

Hiya

I have a low-key query for all of you.

Do you know any other Iconz wireless customers, or anyone else who gets access through iconz, who have a traffic cap, and supposedly gets free national traffic?

In October Telstra and Telecom depeered from the national networks, meaning a whole bunch of previous-free traffic suddenly started to cost ISPs money.

Despite my account T&C generically saying national traffic is free, iconz just sent me a $600 bill for November's usage that includes all my national usage in with the rather expensively rated international traffic. This is six times my normal monthly fee. I've also monitored the traffic going in and out of here as best I could, and I can account for 99% of the traffic in and out of here and their destinations.

Regardless, Iconz are trying very hard to claim all the traffic is International (as depeering caused it to be sent through the router that they use to bill for intl. traffic), and they can't possibly be unaware of the situation. There seems to be some deliberate defrauding going on.

I can't be the only one, and if there are a few more people out there with the same issue, I'd love to get in touch with them. Email justin@skull.co.nz if you or a friend has a similar story.
