Default Laci Peterson Case

This case intrigues me, I don't know what to think. It was all prompted from watching the dvd "The Perfect Husband". I got it becuase it stared Dean Cain!

It was based on the Laci Peterson Case, and told through her friends eyes.

I went online to find out more information about this case, and found that the trial was underway.

The basic facts are, Laci Peterson was 8 months pregnant, and went missing on Christmas eve, they were found 4 months later (washed up on a beach) and her husband was arrested for their murders.

The husband claims he was out fishing, and laci was meant to walk their dog and meet them. The movie shows that everybody thought they were the perfect couple and noone could suspect him.

He was having an affair with another women, who when she found out the man she was seeing was the same man whose wife was missing she went to the police.

Initial evidence seems to point to the fact he did it. However some evidence then comes in, that people reported sightings of Laci on the morning that were never investigated, and that the baby may have been born and lived 5 days longer than the day laci disapeared.

There is also talk of a Satanic cult type sacrifice.

There is a website that shows full details, including transcripts of telephone calls etc. http://www.courttv.com/trials/peterson/

This is an interesting case and I will find it interesting to see the verdict. After reading all I have, and seeing the movie, I am not sure that he did do it. He did though try to run away, died his hair grew a Moustache etc, which someone who was innocent probably wouldn't do.

However I still don't know all the facts. I get the feeling that they focused on the husband in their investigations without investigating other options.
