Default re: Origin of Humankind - What's your Take on it?

Well it is entirely possible.

The Raelian 'religion' foundered by the Frenchman Rael has a similar theory where the supreme race (aliens to us) were banned from genetic experiments on their home planet after some accidents (think Frankenstein's monster escaping in a major city). Rael goes on to say (based on what the aliens told him) that the alien scientists set up seven laboratories on Earth (on each major continent) and had design competitions amongst themselves for their creations. After all, look at the essence (colour, design etc) of some flowers or animals and the design is far more 'advanced' than natural evolution would require it to be.
We have to remember that the Bible is a document that is over a thousand years old and although it is an interesting historic document they did not have the words to explain some of the things they witnessed. Imagine how Maori of 150 years ago would have described seeing something that we take for granted like a helicopter or electric oven, they just didn't have the words. Things like the Bible describing what Esikel saw (the angel with fire from it's hands and feet), what if that was one of those modern day rocket suits that NASA and the US Military have been developing, the Biblical observer / writer would have difficulty describing it using the language of the day.

Anyway, I will finish my rant before I go on for another half-hour with one thought.
Could there be a third option of experimentation (basically creation by a technologically advanced civilisation) followed by evolution with outside intervention (as some of the jumps in the standard evolution theory can not be explained)?
