I have an HP 3200c scanner.
For some months it has not been needed. So it sat, gathering dust and a small stack of papers. Then I needed it for some photo scans.
A message tells me there is no scanner attached to the computer.
No matter what I did, it did not work.
So, I finally want to the HP site (
www.hp.com) did an immidiate search for the scanner number and the first thing was my error message and solutions.
So do not bounce the thing off the wall. There is probably a fix.
Also, I have one machine with win 98 and one with win XP. The machine with XP will need the upgrade from HP for the 3200c to work. Soft copy is, I think free. When I got mine, I bought the CD for about 10 bucks.
