That's right ... butterfly cakes I think they were called.
You're lucky your Dad was around to do stuff like that ... my Dad wasn't much into cooking (except on the Barbie) and then he left when I was 14 so he missed out on quite a bit of stuff that my brother and I got up to. His loss I reckon.
Although there are a couple of things I remember Dad making ... one was Blackberry drinks ... we had a Blackberry patch behind our property and we'd pick them, Dad would mix them up with milk and icecream and added something else (not sure what) and the drinks was mmmmmmmm ... the other thing my Dad was a whizz at was making Corn Fritters .... mmmmmmmmm Corn fritters |
